When using the umbrella in typical applications the user sees the structure, the seams, the handle and shaft. The Umbrella Pendent Light evokes one to look at the umbrella topside down. It simply transforms an ordinary object into an elegant pendent lighting fixture. The skin provides amble diffused lighting for a 15 meter square room.
The Umbrella was recently presented in the context of the Greek Secretariat of Industrial Design Exhibition hosted by Bartesera Athens, Greece. (14 December 2009 - 16 January 2010) |
